Which Species Will We Treat?

All veterinarians at Access will see dogs and cats. Select veterinarians on staff may see the following:

  • Mini horses and ponies
  • Pigs
  • Goats
  • Chickens
  • Pocket Pets: Hamsters, guinea pigs, rats, etc.
  • Reptiles
  • Amphibians
  • Rabbits (additionally dependent on support staff availability)

We do NOT see:

  • Wildlife (including wolfdogs)
  • Most Birds

Our veterinarians do not all regularly treat other species, and may still recommend you to a more practiced veterinarian if the concern is too complex. If the attending veterinarian does not service your species of pet, you will be referred elsewhere or may be asked to sign up again on another day when a different veterinarian is available.

How Does a Pet Urgent Care Work?

Pet urgent care is very similar to human urgent care! Just like a human urgent care, all visits are same day and in order of registration, with medically urgent cases being prioritized for expediency. We do not make appointments in advance for urgent care or guarantee a specific appointment time. For your convenience, and for the safety of our clients/patients, urgent care registration is exclusively online. Once you register, you will be placed in an electronic queue and contacted once we’re getting closer to your turn! Feel free to go about your day until we contact you! If you have any concerns that your pet is not stable enough to wait until your turn, give us a call, or stop by the clinic (Wed – Sat, 8:30 am – 6:30 pm).

The Urgent Care Clinic is reserved for illness/injury treatment and preventative care services are not offered during urgent care days. Please sign up separately for our Preventative Care Clinic to address any routine wellness needs.

How Does the Nonguaranteed Waitlist Work?

Our providers see as many patients as they can each day! If someone cancels, or we end a little early, we will see patients from our non-guaranteed waitlist. The waitlist does not transfer, so it does not guarantee a future visit. You will receive notice by 5:00 pm, only if we are able to see your pet.

If your pet is unstable or in urgent need of care, we recommend going to your nearest emergency clinic
